Chest: The width of the garment across the chest, measured from armpit to armpit with the garment on and doubled to give the full circumference.

Waist: The width of the garment at the narrowest point of the waist, measured flat from side to side and doubled by the circumference.

Hip: The width of the garment at the widest point of the hips (around the hem of a jacket or the leg of a trouser) and then double it to get the total circumference.

Inseam: Length from the crotch seam to the bottom of the pant leg along the inseam.

Sleeve: Length from shoulder seam to end of sleeve.

Thigh: The circumference of the trouser leg, measured from the widest point of the thigh across the top edge and multiplied by two to get the total circumference.

Height: In one-piece suits, this measurement refers to the total length of the garment from shoulder to hem.
